Catherine Ford, born in Bloomsbury (London) She was raised by the mother, her grandmother, as well as her godparents. Her father was absent from her family. When she was a little girl, Catherine Ford struggled with an obsessional disorder, and also suffered from anxiety due to the word"association. Ford's love for acting grew when she was young. She joined in the National Youth Theatre. Ford was accepted into the Sylvia Young Theatre School. After just a month, she decided that it wasn't for her. Ford applied again for admission to the Central School of Speech and Drama and, after her fourth attempt, she was finally admitted. Shaun Dingwall was one of Ford's classmates. Tate appeared on TV in the Nineties with shows such as The Bill and Men Behaving Badly. Apart from her regular performances in the theatre, Tate also joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2000-2001.
